This looks something of a lottery but DARK DEFENDER finished third in a higher grade sprint at Doncaster last month and should make another bold bid at this level. By contrast, Bobby Joe Leg is raised in class having won at Wolverhampton last time though still has plenty of scope for further improvement while Shepherd's Purse went close on the latter track on his first start for David Loughnane and can race off the same mark. Hee Haw won at Ripon in August and should be sharper for a recent comeback and jockey bookings suggest Black Isle Boy has the best chance of David O’Meara’s three runners.
