It was soft ground when Redarna won at Haydock while Hayadh landed a lower grade contest at Beverley last time. Silver Dust bids for a hat-trick raised 6lb after scoring at Hamilton while Star Of Southwold showed signs of a resurgence when going close at York recently and is preferred to Hortzadar. Custodian is much better than last month’s reappearance suggests but it could pay to stick with the unexposed TOP RANK. James Tate’s unbeaten colt clearly goes well fresh having won over track and trip on last year’s reappearance before scoring at Newmarket four-months later and we may not have seen the best of him yet.
