On soft ground, low numbers tend to do best on the straight course here in big fields and Besty, already placed twice at the track this year, appears to have the plum draw in stall one. Made In The Shade was third at Musselburgh after winning a Beverley seller while Cross Of Lorraine hinted at a revival at Carlisle last time. But the vote goes to ANJOMARBA, who is rarely beaten far on Polytrack or Turf and is now 8lb lower than when successful over the trip at Folkestone in August. Of those with a double-figure draw, Trending and the luckless Fama Mac could come out best as Gracie's Gift beat little of note at Southwell last month.
