Stoic Leader keeps on defying the handicapper but he may struggle to beat Serieux this evening, with River Of Babylon also expected to run well. This is quite a competitive event but Serieux does hold very strong claims on his best form. The David Nichols trained six-year-old put in his best performance last season when finishing second to Chateau Nicol off a mark of 80. He has been well beaten in three races this season but as a subsequence is now down to a very favourable mark. Nicholls does it time and again with these types and today could be the time for Serieux to oblige. Stoic Leader is chasing a four timer after beating Tough Love at Catterick last time. He is now looking a bit high in the weights but can still make his presence felt. Meanwhile River Of Babylon also comes here in winning form having beaten Najaaba at Redcar last time out. Of the others the consistent Takes Tutu has to be given a mention, but Serieux is a winner waiting to happen and we think it could be today.
