      Verdict

The firm ground has taken it's toll here with just six runners for the feature event and we will side with Bendarshaan who is back to a winning mark and he can beat his market rival Mith Hill, with Jeepstar also expected to run well. Mark Johnston's five-year-old will appreciate this lesser company after finishing a six length fifth behind Flambouyant Lad at Newbury earlier this month. He won off a mark 83 last summer so looks set to pounce today. Mith Hill made hard work of beating Marias Magic at Hamilton last time and may struggle today under a penalty. Jeepstar is in good form at present but may need to drop a few pounds before winning again. However he should still be involved in the fight for the places. The best of the remainder could be True Companion, but Bendarshaan looks the pick of the weights today and gets our vote.
