Little Jo, who won this in 2021, has been in excellent form on ground with plenty of give and would be the selection if the going eases though conditions could be just a bit too quick for him. The lightly-raced SHAMEKH won a fast-ground Leicester maiden for Godolphin in July and found soft going and the 1m2f trip against him at Windsor earlier this month. He has more scope than these rivals and looks the one to be on. Sparkle In His Eye has won six races, all but one on the all-weather. He won on fast going at Musselburgh last summer and is only 3lb higher. Copper And Five has managed to win three times and is generally thereabouts at this level so should get into contention.
