A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Signor Peltro,Captain Jacksparra and Transcend and the narrow vote is given to the last named. The selection won well when last seen when defeating Tamino, he remains on a fair mark and with the John Gosden team in good form he looks the one to be on. Signor Peltro rates the main danger as he beat Roman Maze when last seen he has conditions to suit and will not be far away. Captain Jacksparra is another last time out winner that could go well but he has been done no favours by the draw and is taken on with this in mind. The Osteopath has won his last two races in good style but is rising in the weights and stepping up in class so he needs to improve again. Distant Sun is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but his best form is over a shorter trip and with this in mind for the winner we return to Transcend.
