In depth

Verdict

Our Boy Jack is a course and distance winner but was looking a bit high in the ratings after scoring at Ayr in October though Jack Garritty's claim will help. Comino also loves it here having completed a double on the track last summer and also won over the trip at Catterick. David O'Meara has acquired So Beloved who is on exactly the same mark as when last successful so he has to go on the shortlist. Mujazif beat several of these on his final start of the last campaign at Doncaster though that was on very heavy ground. He's had a run this season but looks a few pounds high at present as does Newstead Abbey, who is 10lb higher than his last winning mark. DEAUVILLE PRINCE isn't as good as he was as a youngster where he was competing at Group level and won in Listed company but the assessor has given him a chance so he's given the nod.
