Premier Grand has claims on his best but the key to the outcome of this race could be a handicap at Lingfield earlier this month won by Mimic in which Hollow Jo finished second with Singularity (2lbs better in for a length) back in fourth place and we take Willie Muir's horse to reverse running there and win this. Hollow Jo is open to improvement after just four career starts and has the assistance of Carol Williams but Willie Muir's string have suddenly hit form after a quiet start to the campaign and, having been entitled to need the run at Lingfield (his first in four months) Singularity gets the nod. Premier Grand has plenty of weight to shoulder for what he has achieved and of more interest could be Compton Plume, who represents the successful Queen Mother Cup team of Mick Easterby and Serena Brotherton.
