Verdict

Another furiously competitive sprint to round off the card and this can go to the in-form Tommy Smith, who is just preferred to the locally trained Zuhair and Flak Jacket. The John Wainwright-trained five-year-old is a quirky customer and need to be one of the last to be loaded into the stalls. But assuming the handlers are aware of his claustrophobia, he is taken to utilize his tremendous early speed to hold the rest at bay. It is always difficult to split the David Nicholls-trained pair who make up the main body of the opposition, but Zuhair is taken to exploit the gaps if Tommy Smith puts in a stinker. Beyond The Clouds and Boanerges are others to consider if supported.
