There are six previous course and distance winners in this but by far the most interesting is the three-year-old Iceaxe, who has been raised another 6lb since his second success at the track but could take some catching again if able to get to the front before they swing for home. DARK WONDER hasn't many miles on the clock and will have had his confidence boosted by a win at Yarmouth – a follow-up is a distinct possibility. Lingfield winner Pyla is set to be Amy Murphy's first runner as a trainer but she'll need to improve. Captain Bob and Snappy Guest still look too high in the weights and Whozthecat is hard to predict, though not badly treated on his best form.
