A big field for the lucky last, from which we'll side with Squirtle, in preference to Chiff Chaff and Mister Pete. Many of these have won over this 2 mile trip; Mark Brisbourne's runner, his only on the card, is the sole entrant to have course and distance success, and last time out came close to making it 3 wins from 4. She won here last month, and appears to have the best recent form. She's well in at the weights, with Luke Morris claiming 3 pounds. She's not always the quickest away, but there's plenty of time here to make up ground. She won't appreciate it if there's been much rain, but if there has, the weight advantage could be a factor in her favour. Chiff Chaff has run mainly on the all-weather, but turned over an odds on favourite at Yarmouth last time out, and has solid claims here. Mister Pete's chances may be enhanced if there's been a fair amount of rain, as both his wins have come when there's been a bit of cut in the ground. But to land the finale, we'll go with Squirtle.
