        Verdict

        The last 10 winners have been three-year-olds and the trend should continue with LORD OF THE ROCK (NAP). Michael Dods' Rock Of Gibraltar colt made a very pleasing debut at Ayr in September and his two half-brothers have both won on soft ground, as did his dam. Quality Song is an expensive half-brother to three winners and, though last of four on his introduction at Sandown in September, should do much better in his second campaign. The older brigade are headed by Obsidian, who has moved to Richard Fahey after a couple of very disappointing runs following a close second at Sandown, and First Sitting, having his first start for David O'Meara after showing promise for Dermot Weld.
