Last year's winner was drawn on the wide outside but an inside berth is usually best and Tamayuz Magic is in stall one. Mick Easterby's charge was a very smooth winner over 1m2f at Newcastle but the assessor has had his say with an 8lb rise. Sooquaan won at the fixture a year ago but is now 12lb higher while Royal Holiday runs almost exclusively at Southwell these days. BEAUTIFUL STRANGER has reverted to Turf in good form, staying on strongly over 7f on his two recent starts. He's 4lb higher than his last victory but will be suited by stepping up in trip and gets the verdict. Woody Bay suffered in the weights after three victories in 2013 but will be better for his reappearance at Pontefract but Janaab's only victory since arriving from France was on fast ground. Cornborough made a winning debut last April so the lack of a recent run shouldn't be a problem.
