      Verdict

      York Glory and Thirteen Shivers both earn full marks for consistency but the handicapper has invariably taken a dim view of their exploits. The top weight is 5lb higher than when second over 6f at Doncaster last month, while Mick Easterby's charge has been a beaten favourite the last twice off this mark. It would be no surprise to see Even Stevens recapture his decent early-season form sooner rather than later but there should be more to come from JAMAICAN BOLT, who was far from disgraced against older horses on only his third start at York. Bryan Smart's Pivotal colt is clearly improving with experience and can gain his first win on turf here. Boundaries is a speedy sort and may be best of the rest.
