A winner at Chelmsford, MONTATHER ran well again under a penalty at Newmarket on his reappearance. Rated 95, Roger Varian’s colt should be winning at this lowly level and will likely start a short price to do so. One Idea placed at Kempton on his debut back in November and looks the main threat though both Hessa and Highfield Princess may finish closer today. It’s difficult to recommend any of the others with experience so the newcomer Artistic Vision is worth a second glance.
