In depth

Verdict

Declan Carroll has three entries, two of them newcomers plus Lady Pascha, who showed good pace for a long way on last year's debut at Redcar. GEMINI STAR is comfortably the form pick after leading until inside the final furlong on heavy ground over 6f at Haydock in October. Normal progress can see her off the mark. Chattel Village started off in good form on fast ground but didn't improve on softer going later in the campaign while Stella Blue has only shown moderate form to date. Bangles Joe may prove best of the first-timers though may need further.
