Across The Straits is making his debut over fences and has shown very little over timber. Quetzal started favourite on his chasing bow at Plumpton a couple of weeks ago but jumped moderately and will need to do better here. Ours is in cracking form having beaten the in-form Rileyev at Hereford before completing a double in comfortable style at Leicester. He's still on a fair mark but those victories were gained on testing ground and THUNDER CHILD, who prefers faster going, may have his measure at these weights. Simon Burrough's grey was undoubtedly fortunate to score over the C&D a fortnight ago but the faster the ground the better for him and he can defy a 5lb rise and follow up.
