Fame, Nabir and San Hernando are three against the field in this maiden hurdle, and the vote is given to Fame. The selection was a fair sort on the flat and this gelding from the Phillip Hobbs yard will not have to be anything special to make a winning debut over hurdles. Nabir seemed to fail to get home on his hurdling debut at Aintree when down the field behind The Rising Moon. He may come on for that run so a watching brief on the market is advised, but unless he is supported strongly then the advice is to take him on. San Hernando is another who has shown a fair level of form on the flat and he should have no problems seeing out this trip after winning a bumper impressively at Goodwood. If he jumps well on his hurdling debut then he could go close. Sweet Oona is from a top yard and is another to consider, but Richard Johnson is taken to steer Fame to victory in this moderate contest.
