Verdict
Roman Ark, Stan and Le Biassais are three against the field in this novices' hurdle and the vote is given to Roman Ark. The selection shaped well when a good second behind Shuhood at Haydock last time, and as he is got form on a heavy surface he should take plenty of beating if he can reproduce his latest effort. Le Biassais is a giant of a horse and he ran well when second behind Tomasino at Kelso. He may have needed the run that day as he was returning from a break, and he handled the soft surface so he is another that should make the frame here. Stan showed plenty of promise on his debut and he then ran well when second behind Nyrche at Wetherby. He is progressing the right way and he has form on heavy ground, and if he improves again then he will give our selection plenty to do. Flame of Zara will be fit from a run on the flat and he showed a fair level of form last season, so he is another to consider, but for the winner we return to Roman Ark.
