In depth

Verdict

A much weaker race that the first division. The Rain King has probably run his best races here and, though 0-19, Port Or Starboard has hinted at ability and should be approaching peak fitness while Flat winner Dancing Harry has to go on the shortlist making his handicap debut over timber having placed the last twice. Ballygoe may still have a bit of scope but we’ll take the view that ESCOBEDO may just have needed his run at Market Rasen two weeks ago and he’s tried in a visor today. Sister Saint has been lightly raced but she needs to improve on what she’s shown so far.
