In depth

Formwatch

Soundtrack (IRE) Formerly a decent novice hurdler, he stays well and acts on this going; he won a soft event at Plumpton last time, jumping well in the process.

Dads Lad (IRE) Was running well until hitting the fourth-last on his chasing debut at Southwell on Jan 24 (3m0:5f,heavy); he's a winning Irish pointer.

Heros Fatal (FR) Martin Pipe's 2000 Cesarewitch winner is an interesting recruit to chasing; he's also a winning hurdler at up to 2m5f and on heavy going; he's had his problems since the Cesarewitch but he'll go off favourite here and adds a lot of interest to today's meeting.

Major Adventure (IRE) Promising chasing debut effort when second to Imperial de Thaix at Chepstow on Jan 16; jumped right on occasions there so should appreciate this track; has won over points in Ireland but has had training problems; likes give in the ground.

Morning Alf Lightly-raced, hasn't proven that he stays three miles; makes chasing debut today.

Party Lad (IRE) Lightly-raced in this country but won a maiden hurdle at Cork last January; makes chasing debut today.

Millyhenry Prolific point-to-point winner who has done reasonably well under Rules; course and distance winner who acts on the going.
