keen, disputed 2nd, chased winner from 9th, kept on but no chance with winner
disputed 2nd until 9th, soon weakened
jumped well, made all, drew clear from 9th, unchallenged
An obvious chance for Saintsaire and those of you who like to buy your money on the racecourse. Nicky Henderson's useful hurdler looks to have scared off all meaningful opposition at the five-day stage and provided he jumps well, there should be no conceivable reason in the formbook to suggest that he is beatable. Andreas is in receipt of lumps of weight from the selection but he fell heavily on his sole British start and it is worth noting that Paul Nicholls has not had him on the course for almost four months. The fact that he was unfancied on that day suggests that he isn't one of the better imports in the Ditcheat stables. Pennys from Heaven and Sammagefromtenesee are exposed platers who are difficult to fancy unless a mishap or two occurs to the front pair in the market. A disappointing turnout for the money but Saintsaire should be too good for this bunch.
