Verdict

There's been a spectacular turnaround in the fortunes of Thunder Child since front-running became the tactics and he's come home virtually alone on his last two starts, both in very small fields. However, he's now 12lb higher than when completing a C&D double last month and KIRBYS GLEN is taken to halt the hat-trick bid. Patrick Rodford's charge was alongside Thunder Child when falling here a month ago and with a 17lb turnaround in the ratings he looks capable of reversing the form and taking this. Marsh Court scored over the C&D in February but the ground was soft and she's since run poorly in much faster conditions while the remaining trio are badly out of form.
