made all, ridden approaching 3 out, stayed on well, left clear last
tracked leaders, ridden approaching 4 out, soon beaten, left poor 3rd last
chased winner, blundered 7th, ridden approaching 3 out, weakened next, left 2nd at last
tracked leaders, mistake 6th, headway approaching 4 out, ridden approaching 2 out, 6 lengths 2nd and held when fell last
Just the four runners here, but all of them can be given some sort of a chance, so a decent contest is on the cards. No Visibility is sure to have his supporters after scoring over course and distance on his chasing debut last time. However, a six pound penalty means that he would probably have to improve again to score here, and may just be worth opposing. Colonial Sunset shaped well when second at Fontwell last time, but while he is by no means a no-hoper here the fact remains that he has not won for four years and cannot be backed with any real conviction. Island Sound has been a fair performer both on the flat and over hurdles, and David Elsworth's charge had the misfortune of coming up against Azertyuiop on his second attempt at fences. He will certainly not find anything of that quality in this field and has a good chance of landing his first win over larger obstacles, but we just prefer the claims of Philip Hobbs' Tamango. He was let down by his jumping when a disappointing favourite at Fontwell last time but was much better on his chasing debut when second to the useful Epervier d'Or. Lightly-raced over hurdles, he still had some fair form to his name and his sole victory came at this track. He is sure to have been well schooled since that disappointing effort, and a clear round could be good enough here.
