Verdict

Tigre D'Aron didn't show much on his reappearance but should strip fitter here. Philadelphus may be capable of better while Carribs Leap was a decent novice last term and will have needed his run at Newbury in November. Dantari was just beaten over 2m4f here last time but is 5lb higher now so we'll stick with the in-form CARRICKMINES. Though trainer Philip Hobbs has Pavillon Bleu in the line-up, Richard Johnson keeps faith with Richard Newland's veteran who was up against a couple of progressive novices when third at Ascot last month. Quinte Du Chatelet shouldn't be ignored but is probably still a few pounds too high in the weights.
