There may only be five runners in this bumper but it’s a fascinating contest nonetheless. Captain Woodie is the only four-year-old but is by Presenting and a half-brother to two winning jumpers. The filly Cockney Wren also has a nice pedigree for jumping and Paul Nicholls’ Dynamite Dollars will have his supporters. PARIS BOUND, a rare runner under NH Rules for Andrew Balding, is a half-brother to three useful middle-distance performers on the flat and stayer Taglietelle so may have more speed than some of these.
