In depth

Verdict

It's almost two years since BENEDICTUS last ran in a hunter chase but Jack Barber's 11-year-old has won three times under Rules and nine of his 25 races between the flags. Martin McIntyre is the most experienced rider in this and can steer his charge home in front. Well Mett has proved consistent in point-to-points this season and Parkam Jack has won at Milborne St Andrew since his fourth at Wincanton so arrives in form. Foynes Island makes more appeal the modest Lundy Sky and Triggywinkle following a recent pipe-opener.
