      In depth

      Verdict

An open finale in which narrow preference is for Khadija ahead of Arctic Glow, Beautiful Night and Madam Blaze. This looks a very weak race and it is unlikely to take much winning despite the numbers. The selection should be fit from a recent run on the flat and has bits and pieces of form which give her solid claims, although the fact that she is still a maiden after 14 starts over timber is hardly encouraging. If the ground continues to deteriorate then it may pay to side with Arctic Glow who is a course and distance winner and has run well on soft ground in the past. Zuleta should have improved for a recent run, whilst Sweet Matriarch is unexposed but has a tough task under top-weight. Madam Blaze disappointed last time out but is better than that, whilst Rich Nomad is slowly edging down the weights. An awful contest, in which the pin comes down on Khadija.
