Diplomate Sivola stepped up to this trip for the first time since arriving from France and won a similar-grade handicap by 12l at Lingfield under owner/rider David Maxwell. Not surprisingly he's been raised 13lb and this is tougher but he's the youngest in the line-up and has plenty of scope. Uhlan Bute is almost twice his age but won by even further on his 50th start at Plumpton so a 9lb rise shouldn't pose too much of a problem. TOUCH KICK went up 3lb for landing a Hereford handicap in this class before stepping up a grade and placed at Newbury and Chepstow. Back in this company he can return to winning ways though Fox Appeal has won over the course and the distance and has scored in better class. Le Boizelo would be respected if the ground turned testing but Bramble Brook has done his winning in very small fields.
