In depth

Verdict

David Pipe may well hold the key to this as he saddles the potentially well-treated LAUSTRA BAD as well as December's C&D winner Lucy's Perfect and the lightly-raced Monopole. Preference is for the former, off whom Conor O'Farrell claims a valuable 5lb, as he was much more like his old self at Fontwell last time. Prince Of Denial has been put up 6lb for finishing second over C&D last month and may struggle to confirm that form with the third Posh Emily. He also looks held by the selection on Exeter running in December, while Falcon Island may need his first run for Colin Tizzard since arriving from Jessica Harrington's yard. Fountains Flypast may be the pick of the remainder but hasn't really built on his third at Hereford in November.
