The Raven's Return won a bumper on heavy going a year ago and got off the mark over hurdles at the fifth attempt at Fontwell. However, he didn’t beat much and has picked up a penalty so looks vulnerable in this. Adjourned won a Southwell bumper before failing to defy a penalty at Wincanton but gives the impression he’ll need further. That remark may also apply to Dan Skelton’s points winner Alnadam and also Imperial Flem. SHESHOON SONNY won a soft-ground bumper at Wetherby in March. He appears to be improving with experience and can make a winning start over timber.
