Both top class staying hurdlers, Lisnagar Oscar and BLACK OP are the only two with chasing experience. The former would surely have won at Chepstow had he not slowed into the last. The fourth and fifth have already franked that form and Rebecca Curtis’ six-year-old is definitely one to follow but may not be suited by this sharp track. Tom George’s charge wasn’t beaten far by some of the country’s top novices in two runs last season over the larger obstacles and will be tough to beat if wind surgery has had the desired effect. Down The Highway may make a better chaser than hurdler but the returning Mr Caffrey needs better ground. Mr Antolini is jumping fences late in life.
