In depth

Verdict

Veteran Tusa Eire beat Red Inca at Fontwell but that wasn’t much of a race. Witness In Court was successful at the same meeting, ending a long losing run. Donald McCain’s 12-year-old has won here in the past, as has Brave Jaq. The former Paul Nicholls-trained Bubble O'Clock has won twice at Holnicote recently and is only six but O Maonlai has been looking a light of former days along with Village Vic. LLANCILLO LORD was worn down by the rallying Greensalt at Kelso last time and lost second when his rider eased down on the run-in. That was still a decent effort, considering he was too keen in the race, and compensation awaits here.
