In depth

Verdict

Theladnextdoor, a winner of his only point-to-point in Ireland, has to be of interest on his rules debut for Neil King but he has not been seen for 441 days so may be best watched with a safer option looking to be REAPING THE REWARD, who is preferred to Tollishill. Nicky Henderson's gelding was sent off the 5/4 favourite for his debut at Hereford last month but ultimately disappointed in finishing fifth of the 12 runners behind Black Jack Blues. It may be too soon to write him off and the yard's runners in this grade always warrant plenty of respect. Law Court made a pleasing debut at Huntingdon last month and he makes more appeal than the Paul Nicholls-trained Great Mates, who has been well held in both starts so far. The selection though goes to Alan Parker's Reaping The Reward, who lost no caste in defeat to Quite The Man at Kelso on his debut last month and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice.
