This Mares' Selling Hurdle looks a tricky race to get to grips with and from a shortlist of Miss Phoebe, Overspin and SILVER BANK, it is John Spearing's runner who is nominated. Although she has a penalty for her Hereford win in April, at least we know that the mare comes here with the ability to win one of these races. She may have found the ground a little quick for her last time out at Bangor but if she can get her toe in today then she is unlikely to be too far away. Overspin also needs to bounce back from a defeat last time, whilst Tandori and Cat Six need to step up on what we have seen recently. Miss Phoebe was well-fancied when last seen at Uttoxeter but in the first-time visor she failed to fire. Today she is dropped in class and in trip, both of which look to be in her favour. Bet Noir is to be considered following a good effort in defeat at Newton Abbott, but ultimately she is yet to win in 13 starts under both codes. The market should help light the way but it is top-weight Silver Bank who is narrowly preferred.
