      Verdict

      WALK WATERFORD easily beat Eric The Third at Fontwell last week and that one was well ahead of Hope's Wishes at Newton Abbot in June. Olly Murphy’s charge can defy the penalty here ahead of Elkstone, who has a strike-rate of 1-18 over fences though was only beaten a neck at Market Rasen earlier this month when attempting to follow up an earlier win on the Lincolnshire track. Polished Rock has won twice over hurdles and twice on the Flat but doesn’t have a chasing pedigree.
