In depth

Verdict

A select field, none of which can be eliminated with confidence, although Wick Green needs to be forgiven his latest run. Back in March, three of this field clashed over 2m4f with FUMET D'OUDAIRIES emerging a smooth victor over I'm Wiser Now with Captain McGinley back in fifth and the winner is taken to confirm superiority. However, there's nearly a further mile to travel here and the latter recently landed a 3m2f chase at the Cheltenham hunter chase night. Premier Magic also arrives in fine winning form and gives Bradley Gibbs a strong double chance in the race and it would be folly to rule out Vaucelet, an Irish raider with very few miles on the clock and a snug winner at Down Royal this month.
