Verdict

Lamb's Cross was beaten less than a length at Leicester last time. The winner almost followed up here last week so the form looks decent and his stable couldn't be in better form. But he was beaten 18 lengths by LITTLE JIMMY at Chepstow earlier and is only 8lb better off. That form has also been franked and though Tom Gretton's gelding is a tricky ride, he also won this last year and is only 5lb higher. On The Case will strip fitter for last month's fourth at Leicester and is a likely danger but Albatros De Guye was still beaten 20 lengths when second at Fakenham and a few of the others have a bit to prove after disappointing last time.
