Verdict

The feature race at Stratford can see Waterberg add to his course and distance success against the in-form Strong Tartan and topweight Simber Hill. Henry Daly's eight-year-old appeared to lose his confidence but bounced back to form with a comprehensive victory here last month and a repeat should see him prove hard to beat, although he would not want any more rain to give of his best. Strong Tartan has been in terrific form and has a very rare awayday as all his racing has been done no further south than the borders. He looks sure to go well and makes more appeal than Simber Hill who was pulled up behind the selection last time. Pietro Bembo has been knocking at the door and may again be placed, but Waterberg lines up at the top of his form and should prevail.
