In depth

Verdict

Mont Royale remains 7lb higher than when scoring at Uttoxeter in July despite failing to figure in subsequent outings. Moorlands Jack was still beaten a long way when placed at Newton Abbot last time having won over the same fences earlier while Opechee has struggled since winning over a shorter trip here in August. ONE FORTY SEVEN went close when runner-up at Market Rasen three weeks ago on only his second start over fences. That was his first outing since May so Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge should be sharper today and gets the vote to go one better.
