Verdict

This looks a straight match between the two previous winners. CHAMPAGNE CITY is rated 5lb lower than Mister Showman with both having had just the two runs but there was a lot to like about his victory at Kelso, where he stayed on strongly whereas his likely market rival was always being held when failing to follow up an earlier Towcester win under a penalty at Warwick. Thahab Ifraj was still beaten 15 lengths when fourth at Ffos Las.
