In depth

Verdict

Traprain gets the call in the finale ahead of Tech Eagle and Rio de Janeiro. This is a good novice event, with Cherished Number, Lord Baskerville, Rio de Janeiro, Tech Eagle and Traprain having won nine races between them. Traprain is the highest rated of them, but only by five pounds from Tech Eagle and Rio de Janeiro, but we will stick with the handicapper's judgement and side with him. The former decent Flat performer Massif Centrale has to get the 'best of the rest. description, but, once again, the selection is Traprain.
