    Verdict

Richard Johnson gave Kapstadt a confident ride to get off the mark at Newton Abbot in March but he switches to course and distance winner Iguacu in this. The latter should go well while Wetherby runner-up Knight In Purple is another for the short-list. Mondlicht and Anton Dolin are others with decent claims on their best form but Collodi and Kapstadt's stablemate Watt Broderick are proving disappointing. ABSOLUTLYFANTASTIC was pulled up on his first start for Martin Hill but did a lot better when fifth at Newton Abbot. Dropped a further 5lb since and eased in grade, today's quicker going will aid his cause so he gets a speculative vote.
