Verdict

A large field goes to post for this novices handicap chase and many have chances on her best form. But the main protagonists appear to be River Trix, Effusive and Tambo and we will take a chance on the last named. The gelding from the Mark Bradstaock yard won well on his debut this season when defeating Dragon and if he has improved again he will be hard to beat with conditions in his favour. River Trix rates the main danger on his lates third behind Dealer Del and the drop back to this trip is sure to suit.Effusive is another that could go well he is from a top yard and he showed improved form when he stayed on to be fourth over a shorter trip last time he is sure to appreciate the step up in trip and he will not be far away. Of the remainder it would be no surprise to see Ms Trude run well in a first time visor but she will need to improve significantly to defeat the selection Tambo.
