Basford Lass was comfortable enough in victory last time to suggest she can run a big race but to take this Novice Handicap Hurdle we prefer KING RAVEN while The Fox's Decree is also on the list. After winning by 30 lengths in a Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell last time the pick can be considered well in with just a 7lbs penalty to carry. That run doesn't look a fluke and with conditions in his favour he should follow up. That last score for Basford Lass came in a maiden but having previously run some good races in defeat in this company she looks fairly treated off her current rating and she is unexposed enough to improve. The Fox's Decree was a well held second in a similar contest the last time we saw him but with this looking easier he can go a bit closer despite 5lbs extra on his back. Arctic Ghost returned to life over timber on his last run after the chasing game didn't agree with him. In was a nice enough run but he'll have to show more to beat King Raven.
