Quite a competitive contest with ten individual winners in the field. Red Flyer has been done no favours by the raising of the weights. Pat Haslam's four-year-old probably has the best form on offer in the race, having been runner-up to the useful Far Pavillions at Musselburgh. However, it will be something of a surprise if there isn't something better treated. One who fits the bill is Kim Bailey's Pirandello, who looked to be on the upgrade when handing out a comprehensive beating to Don't Sioux Me at Huntingdon last month. He should again take care of Forest Heath, even on these revised terms, and a bigger threat could be Master T, who was presented with the race at Taunton when the leader that day made an awful mistake, from which he didn't recover. However, Master T could do no more than win and the Handicapper doesn't look to have been too severe on him. Others to consider include Dizzy Tart, who will be at home on the forecast surface and the in-form French Mannequin, who has been well placed to pick up a couple of moderate contests. The latter will enjoy the fast ground and comes into this with her confidence sky high.
