In depth

Verdict

Not a strong novices' contest and it is hard to see anything being good enough to lower the colours of Yes Sir, who is taken to outpoint Lewis Island and Oakfield Legend, with nothing else making appeal. Yes Sir has to give weight away all around after successive wins at Kelso on fast ground and Bangor on heavy. He sees out this trip well, jumps very well and looks too good for his opponents here. Lewis Island is his chief rival. He comes from the in form Gary Moore yard and has been going well both over the sticks and on the level of late. However, he does prefer to get his toe in and would ideally like some rain to be seen to best effect. Oakfield Legend won a very poor Worcester chase last time but will have to impeove considerably to trouble the selection for this contest, and that is Yes Sir.
