Verdict

Back over fences, there are possibilities about The Jigsaw Man, who had the hat-trick seeking Sunday City behind when fourth over a longer trip here in May. Peter Bowen's 10-year-old is in better form now but may still struggle to confirm Aintree running last month with WAR PARTY. Richard Newland's charge is 4lb better off for a neck defeat and was in front at this distance when fourth over a longer trip here on his latest start. James Cowley rode a sound race on Hoo La Baloo to score at Worcester but the runner-up rather down tools that day and he's 9lb higher now while the handicapper may have Trooper Clarence in his grip. Noble Request has a touch of class but this is a big ask after a long lay-off.
