Cobra De Mai is on a roll but this is by far his stiffest task to date. Dream Bolt got back on track when scoring at Newton Abbot but that was over a much longer trip. De Faoithesdream is looking a light of former days but Katgary has been running well since returning from a lay-off, though still looks a few pounds too high. Noche De Reyes has been knocking on the door but is still 10lb higher than his last winning mark and Adrian Heskin prefers less-exposed stablemate BABY KING (NAP). The latter appeared to be going well when falling at Market Rasen after making a winning chasing debut at Wincanton and should take all the beating with a clear round.
Katgary (FR) 10-3 (11-12) Chased leader, closed before 7th, challenged last, soon led, ridden and headed just after last bend, held after, stayed on same pace, 2nd of 6, 2 1/2l behind Oliver's Gold (10-10) at Cartmel 2m 1f hcp (3) sft in May.
Cobra De Mai (FR) 2-1 (11-5) Made all, clear after 3 out, eased flat, won at Huntingdon 2m (4) gd in May beating Moabit (10-12) by 23l, 3 ran.
Noche De Reyes (FR) 5-2fav (11-3) Tracked leaders, front pair clear from 4th, closed approaching 4 out, 2nd after 2 out, stayed on, unable to challenge winner, 2nd of 7, 2l behind Festive Affair (11-5) at Ludlow 2m hcp (3) gd in May.
Dream Bolt (IRE) 9-2 (11-13) Held up in rear, headway 4 out, led and jumped left last, driven out, won at Newton Abbot 2m 5f hcp (4) gd in May beating Hughesie (11-3) by 2 1/4l, 8 ran.
De Faoithesdream (IRE) 6-1 (11-11) Prominent, led 7th, headed after 11th, lost place 4 out, weakened, 5th of 8, 34 3/4l behind Crookstown (11-1) at Haydock 2m 3f hcp (3) gd in May.
Baby King (IRE) 3-1cfav (11-1) Tracked leaders, headway to challenge after 4 out, upsides and every chance when fell next, at Market Rasen 2m 3f hcp (2) gd in May.
